Ren Faire

Y’all, it’s time for another life update. But this is a fun one! While I’ve been hunting for a new job, I saw an opportunity to sell my jewelry at the Utah Renaissance Fair and Fantasy Festival! I was so excited when my application was accepted!

So, I bought a six-foot-tall canvas teepee and a foldable wagon, and I made some more necklaces. The first weekend, I learned that my little teepee was not designed to stay up overnight, as there was no way to stake it down. But it’s really easy to set up, so that was okay. Opening day, I did great! It was so much fun to interact with everyone, and see people happy with the things I made.
And for the first time since I started doing this, I sold my buried treasure bottles! Not the necklaces, the big bottles! I had people coming back to buy necklaces and earrings, and it was a wonderful experience!

The second weekend, Pirate Weekend, was fantastic. I made friends with other vendors, and my dad came and helped me out every Saturday of the Faire. (My husband works nights, so he was only able to help on Sunday afternoons, but it worked out well.) Halfway through Pirate Weekend, I had made enough to pay for my space. Since I’m usually sharing space with horror and true crime books, this was a first for me to pay a space all on my own.

The final weekend, it rained. I had made a little sun shade for my teepee, to keep me from getting burnt, but it was not up for the weather. So, I bought a little canopy to keep me dry. (I’ll update this post with pictures once I get them on my computer.)

The final day of the Faire, I sold more than I ever have in a day! I’m definitely going back next year!
And I had a lot of people take cards for this site, so if you’ve found me because we met at Utah Ren Fest, WELCOME! Yes, I’m able to do custom necklaces and earrings! Just email me, and we’ll get your personal piece started! (Prices vary depending on what beads and charms are used. More charms = higher cost.)

In other news, I’ve just submitted an application to be a professional DM. So if that goes well, I’ll be posting a lot of great D&D stories. (Maybe I should do that, anyway. I have a lot.)

And I’m looking at starting up streaming crack otomes again soon. A friend told me about Doki Doki Ragnarok, and it is amazing. I thought that Hatoful Boyfriend was nuts, but in DDR, you date whole villages! As in, not the people of the village, the village itself. And I’ve got a shark dating sim, Speed-Dating for Ghosts, Monster Prom, and a whole bunch of others! Not sure if I’ll ever finish Stream Daddy, but it was a great start, and I do hope to finish Dream Daddy eventually. (I’ve been a little distracted by Stardew Valley and Baldur’s Gate 3. And I stumbled upon The Arcana and Dorian, so… yeah… I may or may not make an otome of my own on Dorian at some point. I’ve already got characters and a story. Elliott will get his tale eventually!!!)

And back to jewelry; I’m considering setting up on Etsy. I’ve also been messing with resin crafting, so I can make my own dice beads. Then I can do more than just the D6 for earrings! So keep an eye out for that!

And, since it’s been a while since I shared a Tav, enjoy my Tiefling Cleric of Lathander, Helios! He likes Karlach, and helping people. (I’m also playing a Drow Durge in a co-op with my husband, but we can talk about him later.)
